Stein Olsen, posted this short test of his first try using the CAME-Single gimbal. It was shot in Norway and he used a Sony A7SII with a Zeiss 16-35 f4 Lens.
The encoders on the CAME-Single increase the torque, stabilization and helps give the gimbal a longer battery life. The CAME-Single itself weighs about 1.2kg and can carry mirror-less cameras like the BMPCC, Sony A7S/A7R cameras and the Panasonic GH4. There are three different mounting points on the grip itself - (2) 1/4-20" and (1) 3/8". The mounting points will allow the shooter to mount a monitor, microphone, tripod stand or even attach the CAME-Single to a jib. The joystick is incredibly smooth to use, giving you the option to pan and tilt as you use the CAME-Single.

Andrew Gerard, posted this final scene from a short film he's been working on. The scene was filmed entirely with the CAME-Single gimbal and his Sony A7Rii with the Fe 28mm F2 lens!
The CAME-Single is one of the first basecam controlled gimbals that offer encoders. The encoders will prevent the motors from losing sync, increase torque/stabilization and decrease power consumption. The CAME-Single is perfect for mirror-less cameras like the Panasonic GH4, the Sony A7S series, A7RII and the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema cameras. If you haven't scene Andrew Gerard last Came-Single video, watch it below!

The sounds built into the gimbal serve several key functions - notifying you 1) when your gimbal is powered up, 2) when you've successfully switched profiles, 3) when your battery is running out, or 4) when it senses a general error within the system.

However, when you're right in the middle of a production, there are moments when silence is absolutely necessary - such as a wedding, a film/tv scene with recorded audio, etc. For these situations, it may be necessary to temporarily deactivate (or mute) the sounds coming from your gimbal. Simply connect to the SimpleBGC software, and then go into the Service tab and select which sounds you want to turn off.

You can always re-activate the audio alerts whenever you feel the need to.

Andrew Gerard, recently posted this fight scene called "Two Faced", which he shot with the CAME-Single and Sony A7Rii camera with a Fe 28mm F2 lens. The short film follows two guys as they duke it out in a boxing gym.

The CAME-Single was used the whole time for the short and he shot all of it in one day. The CAME-Single has encoders built into the brushless motors allowing the gimbal to have an incredible amount of stability. A 1/4-20" and a 3/8" are located underneath the handle for mounting the CAME-Single to a tripod/monopod or to a jib. The CAME-Single comes with a hard case for easy packing and portability.

Pano Verino, uploaded his first test with his Sony A7Smk2 balanced  with the CAME-Single gimbal! He does state that there was No Post Stabilization added in post, but the Sony's in camera image stabilization is turned on.

The video is short and mainly focuses on how his setup handles while running and walking. The CAME-Single is one of the first commercially available 3 Axis 32 bit basecam controlled gimbals to offer brushless motors with Encoders. Encoders are often used in Robotics for highly accurate monitoring of the motors position. The design of the CAME-Single is made for shooters to operate the gimbal with just one hand and a 1/4 and 3/8 thread is located under the handle for mounting options.

Mesh Frequency, uploaded this quick field test he did with his new CAME-Single gimbal!

Mesh Frequency, states that the main purpose of this video was to see how the CAME-Single handles when following a subject. He also mention how cold and windy it was while filming this field test.

It was cold and windy but it took only 5 minutes to set up the gimbal. I messed up the focus in few places but my main goal was to follow the subject. Unlike what few reviews on line said the whole thing fit in my bag. Over all I am very happy with the tool.

The CAME-Single offers full 3-axis stabilization with a built in joystick and brushless motors with encoders. It's extremely easy to balance with it's tool-less design and portable body, making it easy to take with you for shoots. The CAME-Single has an internal battery that will allow it to operate for up to 20 hours.

The CAME-Single Wireless Remote is super convenient when you want to remotely control Pan and Tilt on (some) CAME-SINGLE Gimbals. The remote feature works well with a second operator controlling the camera’s movements as the first operator moves around the set. Achieve perfect framing and complete more complex camera movements by working with Dual Operators. If you have your gimbal mounted to the end of a long Crane or Jib you can control easily control the camera with this remote. The system connects via Bluetooth up to 30 feet away. (Range will vary depending on Line of Sight and environmental interference.)

Note: This module is only compatible with Came Single Gimbals purchased after Nov 1st 2015.

Last month we released a brand new accessory for the CAME-Single, a wireless joystick that allows you to control its pan & tilt movements remotely. It's definitely been a hit with customers so far. However, whether you are a current CAME-Single owner, or if you're looking to one day get one, it's important for us to point out that not all Singles will be compatible with the wireless remote upgrade.
singlejoystick
So how do you know if your Single is capable of the upgrade? The most important thing to note is that ALL CAME-Singles purchased after November 1, 2015 have been modified to contain a brand new circuit board that allows for connection of the wireless joystick receiver. CAME-Singles purchased before November 2015, will not have the same board, and hence are not capable of the wireless joystick upgrade.

If you do have a newer generation Single with the modified circuit board, then installation of the wireless remote receiver board is easy! Simply open up the handle, connect the receiver board to its corresponding port, and pair the remote. Full instructions can be found in the video below.
