Recently, Stanly, posted this video of some shots he edited together using his Sony A7s with a Zeiss Loxia 2/50 lens balanced on a CAME-Single.

Even though the video is short, it looks like a very cinematic music video. The beginning shows the main soundcheck, but at the end it transitions directly into the bands live show. The CAME-Single gives the shooter incredibly smooth footage while operating the gimbal with just one hand. The CAME-Single is the first commercially available 3-axis 32-bit basecam controlled gimbal that offers brushless motors with encoders.

Johnnie Behiri from Cinema5D.com recently posted his first impressions and footage of the Sony A7s II. Johnnie Behiri is a BBC freelance cameraman/editor who also films documentaries, commercials, music videos and many other projects.

In the video above, Johnnie, states that he was trying to squeeze “normal footage”, “lowlight” and “slow-motion” parts into one video." In the moving shots Johnnie used our CAME-TV Single Handheld 3-axis gimbal, with the Sony A7sII and Sony 16-35mm lens, which he said was his preferred gimbal...Read More>

Vimeo user, Dieter Knüttel, has uploaded four detailed videos regarding the CAME-Single gimbal so far and now he uploaded his fifth and final video. He talks about his overall experience using the CAME-Single and talks briefly about balancing it with his Panasonic GH3 mirror-less camera and Lumix 12-35mm lens.

CAME-Single Review With Dieter Knuttel

In this video, he jam packed even more test footage of him using the CAME-Single! It's great to see customers going out on the field and gathering a ton of footage with the CAME-Single. Dieter does state in the description "Any stutter you might see does not come from the gimbal but is a 25p on a 30p timeline problem".

Johnnie Behiri from Cinema5D.com recently posted his first impressions and footage of the Sony A7s II. Johnnie Behiri is a BBC freelance cameraman/editor who also films documentaries, commercials, music videos and many other projects.

We were honored to find out that he was using our CAME-Single gimbal while testing out the new Sony A7sII with great results.

In the article, Johnnie explains the main advantages of the Sony a7SII from the original a7s:

    • "Internal UHD 4K recording
    • S-log 3 (in addition to S-log 2)
    • Gamma Display Assistant (allows you to monitor your flat S-log 2 or 3 image in a more vivid Rec 709 way)
    • Internal IBIS stabilisation system (5-Axis SteadyShot)
    • A possibility to charge the camera via the USB port
    • A possibility to assign “REC” to other buttons than the awkwardly placed rec button
    • 100fps (PAL), 120fps (NTSC) in HD quality"

He also explains his most noticeable differences from comparing the Sony a7S II to the a7R II:

  • "The addition of S-log 3
  • Up to 120fps in full HD (compared to 60fps)
  • Gamma Display Assist
  • Sony’s a7S II is cleaner in low-light situations compared to the a7R II
  • Because of its higher pixel count, the Sony a7R II can shoot in APS-C S35 crop-mode in 4K. The a7S II can not do that. Further more, any APS-C lens that will be attached to this camera will have strong vignetting at the edges in 4K-mode (APS-C mode is limited to HD resolutions)."

Milton: Motion & Design, used the CAME-Single gimbal + his Sony A7s with a Sony 20mm lens to shoot a recent real estate video! The video shows a lot of excellent pan & tilt movements that give you a clear idea of how each room looks. There are steady tracking shots that go from the exterior of the house into the interior, which shows the overall flow of the house itself.

The CAME-Single is the first commercially available 3-axis 32-bit  basecam controlled gimbal that has brushless motors with encoders. You're able to operate the CAME-Single easily with just one hand. The tool-less design allows the user to quickly and efficiently balance his or hers camera setup for optimal performance.

1080 Digital Media, uploaded this quick test of him using the CAME-Single straight out of the box! He does make a note in the video description stating that on some of the shots he used a heavier lens(Samyang 14mm) that went over the maximum payload, which caused some shuddering. When he switched to a light lens, the Canon 18-55mm, he said it worked much more smoothly.

The CAME-Single is a 3-axis gimbal that has brushless motors with new encoder technology. Encoders are often used to give highly accurate motor position readings, which will prevent the motors from going out of sync. The large frame on the CAME-Single allows you to fully tilt up and down your camera with ease. A tool-less quick release plate gives the shooter the ability to balance the camera quickly and on the fly.

Youtube user, Juliarta Juliarta, recently uploaded this quick CAME-7800 3-Axis Gimbal test!

The CAME-7800 is a stabilizer that features two side handles for hand-held use and a top handle for low-angle shots. The CAME-7800 offers multiple operation modes, which you can cycle through by clicking on the joystick. You can choose to lock the camera in place along all three axes, have the camera smoothly follow your pan and tilt motions while keeping the horizon level or lock the tilt axis while allowing the camera to pan left and right.

BBW Production, uploaded this short clip of him using the CAME-7800 3-axis gimbal on a recent music video shoot!
With a max payload of about 6.5lbs, the CAME-7800 is designed to hold heavier DSLR type cameras like a Canon 5Dmk2 or 5Dmk3. The CAME-7800 uses three motors that stabilize the pan, tilt and roll axis, which will compensate for shakes and unwanted vibrations. Quick release knobs have been added to the CAME-7800, making the roll and yaw axis tool-less for easier balancing.
