Our Latest Featured Customer Video Is With Stein Olsen Who Uses The CAME-Single To Shoot A Test Video In Norway!
Tell us a little about yourself and the videos you create.
My name is Stein Olsen and I live in Kristiansand, Norway. I make my way of living by working full time as a freelancer within photography and video production. Educated from film school in Oslo and University of Hertfordshire, London.
There is no set path to what video i will make next due to me being a bit impulsive and often quickly decides to go out and shoot a lot of footage. If there is a chance for me to create, i grab it and i love to capture the world as i see it.
I take on many assignments for real estate agents and now I will also offer to shoot video of the houses. Therefore, i needed a solution which was easy to set up and worked instantly without any hassle or struggle. Being used to work with Glidecams and various shoulder mount products i felt it was time to find something else.
I had never heard of CameTv before my research on various gimbal stabilizers, but i found it to be very interesting and i wanted to give this one a go before i tried the more known brands. This one was also the first I've seen with the possibility to reset the gimbal without going on the computer and fix it. And no need to fiddle with the PID values is fantastic.
The gimbal will be used a lot more from now on since more real estate agents will be asking for videos and i will make a lot more shorts to show off the CameTv's fantastic features.
I will create a car commercial soon and a fictional short where the CameTv definitely will be my chosen tool for the projects. Also another short from Maldives is in the making and it will look great!
What is your typical camera setup when using our CAME-TV Single?
Today, i use the sony A7II with a Sony Zeiss 16-35 f4 as a preferred setup but that is only until the Batis series from Carl Zeiss will be available.
What kind of style do you typically try to aim for when shooting videos?
I tend to shoot product videos and to show off new technology. But a fictional film is in pre production so the CameTv will be used for it all.
Would you recommend the CAME-TV Single to other videographers/shooters?
Absolutely! I have a lot of equipment that is trying its best to help me stabilize footage. Only the CameTv proves to prevail and i can happily simply sell it all and only keep the gimbal.
How often do you go out and shoot videos?
For me its not often enough. Whenever there is a chance I take it.
It works! It is simple to set up. It can handle a good amount of weight. You are up and running in no time and it delivers the quality and stable shots you need!
Where does your inspiration to shoot videos come from?
The world is my playground 🙂
What is your favorite type of shot you like to achieve?
That has to be the when running in a forest where elements pass by. Any dynamic shots where there is a lot if movements and you get a real sense of depth.
Is there anything else you would like to share about your CAME-TV Single?
I am thoroughly enjoying the CameTv. You don't need anything else 🙂
