Even though the CAME-Action 2 gimbal for smartphones allows for an easy plug & play setup, like other CAME-TV gimbals, it does require a little bit of balancing for optimal use & stabilization. As shown in the video below, you want to make sure that your smartphone is steadily balanced along both the Roll and Pitch axes.
Once you have a proper balance, then you can commence using smooth gimbal shots with your smartphone.

He was able to achieve this by only using a handful of items: a Xiaomi Yi action camera, the CAME-ACTION Gimbal, a painter pole and a painter pole adapter. The CAME-ACTION is one of the first commercially available 3-Axis 32 bit basecam controlled gimbals(made specifically for action cameras) to offer brushless motors with encoders. The design of the CAME-ACTION allows for one hand operation and the internal rechargeable batteries are fitted inside the grip handle. The built in Joystick can be used for controlling camera positions and for changing modes.

The CAME-ACTION 2 is lightweight and extremely portable - constructed from an Aluminum alloy and weighs in at a very light 300 grams / 0.66 pounds (without the battery and camera) and is compatible with the iPhone. The CAME-Action for GoPro cameras is a great, compact gimbal that has been designed to balance right out of the box. However, in the event that your Action gimbal is not balancing correctly, there's a good chance that the Roll Bar may have been shifted, either in shipping or during use. Follow the simple steps laid out in the video below to set the Roll Bar in the proper position and get your Action fully stabilized.
