The CAME-Action is one of the first commercially available 3 Axis 32 bit Basecam controlled gimbals to offer brushless motors with Encoders. Encoders are often used in Robotics for highly accurate monitoring of motor position. Some of the benefits of using Encoders are to: prevent motors from losing synchronization and skipping steps, provides important information about frame and camera angles, decreases power consumption (longer battery life), increases Torque, increases precision of stabilization, and more.​

Recently, Dieter Knüttel, finished his five part review on the CAME-Single gimbal and now he just posted his review on the new CAME-ACTION gimbal for the GoPro.
Dieter Knüttel, goes through all the specs for the CAME-ACTION including the different modes and everything that comes in the box. The last few minutes of the video show a bunch of test footage he shot using the CAME-ACTION. The CAME-ACTION is able to work with the GoPro Hero 4, 3 and 3+.

The CAME-ACTION is made for shooters who want to get some stable action shots with their GoPro camera. It runs on three rechargeable 16340 batteries , which are small, lightweight and portable. It's made of aluminum alloy and weighs in at 0.66 pounds without the camera and batteries. Your card is formatted, talent's in place, and your gimbal is perfectly balanced. And just as you're about to roll camera.... your gimbal's battery dies. But wait? You charged your battery overnight, right? Even so, batteries, just like most things that involve power, have a shelf life.

The best way to avoid this nightmarish scenario is to test your batteries on a regular basis using a voltmeter/multitester. Among the many things it's capable of, a multitester can read the voltage of your battery and let you know if it has enough juice in it to perform. And just as easily, it can let you know if the battery is ready to be replaced.

If you don't own or readily have access to a voltmeter or multitester, then you can bring your battery(ies) into most electronics/repair shops or automotive garages. Most of these businesses will test your batteries for free.
