Park Life, recently uploaded this commercial for "Horizon Career" where he used the CAME-7800 gimbal to film most of the scenes!

The CAME-7800 is a great gimbal for shooters who mostly film with DSLR cameras like a Canon 5Dmk2 or a Nikon. In this video, Park Life used a Sony A7S, which is lighter than a DSLR, but the CAME-7800 can handle it perfectly. The max payload the CAME-7800 is about 6.5lbs and the gimbal offers multiple operating modes, giving the shooter more choices for his/hers scene.

The CAME-Single Wireless Remote is super convenient when you want to remotely control Pan and Tilt on (some) CAME-SINGLE Gimbals. The remote feature works well with a second operator controlling the camera’s movements as the first operator moves around the set. Achieve perfect framing and complete more complex camera movements by working with Dual Operators. If you have your gimbal mounted to the end of a long Crane or Jib you can control easily control the camera with this remote. The system connects via Bluetooth up to 30 feet away. (Range will vary depending on Line of Sight and environmental interference.)

Note: This module is only compatible with Came Single Gimbals purchased after Nov 1st 2015.

Last month we released a brand new accessory for the CAME-Single, a wireless joystick that allows you to control its pan & tilt movements remotely. It's definitely been a hit with customers so far. However, whether you are a current CAME-Single owner, or if you're looking to one day get one, it's important for us to point out that not all Singles will be compatible with the wireless remote upgrade.
singlejoystick
So how do you know if your Single is capable of the upgrade? The most important thing to note is that ALL CAME-Singles purchased after November 1, 2015 have been modified to contain a brand new circuit board that allows for connection of the wireless joystick receiver. CAME-Singles purchased before November 2015, will not have the same board, and hence are not capable of the wireless joystick upgrade.

single_joystickboard_split

If you do have a newer generation Single with the modified circuit board, then installation of the wireless remote receiver board is easy! Simply open up the handle, connect the receiver board to its corresponding port, and pair the remote. Full instructions can be found in the video below.

As stated in the documentation within the product packaging, adjustments made to the SimpleBGC software settings are strongly discouraged. Making the wrong adjustments can bring confusion to the board, and in turn cause your gimbal to behave erratically. And even worse, this action alone is grounds enough to jeopardize your gimbal's warranty status.

However, despite these warnings, we are aware that there are many outside forces that entice customers to still make these adjustments to the software - whether it be changing follow modes, adjusting joystick speeds, upgrading your firmware, and even loading full profiles from another user (the last 2 we highly discourage).

Long story short, if your gimbal's settings have been drastically altered, to the point where it is negatively affecting its performance (spinning, shaking, beeping - sometimes simultaneously), there is no factory rest button you can press so everything goes back to normal. And as stated above, we do not recommend loading profiles from another user as there are unique settings that do not apply to your specific gimbal.

Even CAME-TV customer support is forbidden from providing profiles whenever requested by customers, for the very reasons above. All is not lost, however. The one process that we can suggest to get your gimbal to a normal functioning state is to manually restore your gimbal's board to its default settings. We have these processes laid out for the 7800 and Mini-2 gimbals. Before attempting either process, make sure that your gimbal matches the firmware shown in its respective document. If your gimbal has a different firmware version, the processes below will not be guaranteed to work.

CAME-7800 Manual Profile Restore Process (Tool-less version)

7800 NOTE: The above contains PID & Motor settings for the most recent tool-less version of the 7800. If you have an earlier version of the 7800 that requires tools for setup, and the gimbal is not fully stabilized after completing the process above, then try switching out the PID/Motor settings with the ones shown here.

CAME Mini-2 Manual Profile Restore Process

Again, please conduct the restore process ONLY if your gimbal's software settings have been altered beyond your knowledge of repair, and if your gimbal is showing extremely erratic behavior. For more minor symptoms such as vibrations, drifting, etc., then you can find quick troubleshooting solutions in our extensive FAQ section.

After receiving his CAME-singleAndrew Gerard Media, went out and grabbed some quick test footage with his Sony A7Rii!

The CAME-Single gimbal is perfect for shooters who want a simple system thats easy to balance and provides steady footage. The encoders that are built into the brushless motors allow the CAME-Single to be extremely stable. The max payload that the CAME-Single can handle is about 2.6lbs(1.2kg), which is perfect for mirror-less cameras like the Sony A7S series, Panasonic GH4 and the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera.

Youtube user, Slashcam, recently uploaded two quick tests he did with the CAME-Single gimbal! Both videos use the CAME-Single, but with different camera setups. The first video uses a Sony A7SII with a FE 3.5-5.6 / 28-70 OSS lens and the second video uses a Panasonic GH4 with a Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm f/2.8 lens.
Each video uses the CAME-Single in different variations. One video focuses on how it performs while you follow a subject and the other video goes through the joystick movements, pan/tilts and holding the CAME-Single as you ride a bike. The CAME-Single is one of the first commercially available 3-axis 32-bit basecam controlled gimbals to offer brushless motors with Encoders.

Check out this test film by Ryoma Yoshimura that he shot entirely with the CAME-7800 gimbal! He used a Canon 5Dmk2 and a 60D with three different lenses - a Sigma 70-200 F.2.8, 25-105mm and a 50mm.
The CAME-7800 gimbal is a great gimbal if your camera setup is a little bit on the heavier side. With a max payload of about 6.5lbs(3kg), it can hold bigger DSLR cameras like the Canon 5D series or the Nikon cameras. The CAME-7800 has tool-less adjustment for the yaw and roll axis, making it easy to balance your camera.

Check out this video that Darryl Smith posted of him using the CAME-Single with a Panasonic and a Panasonic 8mm f/3.5 ED Fisheye lens!

Although, the video is mostly a test on how the Panasonic GH4 looks when the 4K is down converted to 1080, he does use the CAME-Single gimbal the whole time. The CAME-Single is made to hold camera setups that are no more than 2.6lbs(1.2kg). The encoders that are built into the brushless motors allow the gimbal to be extremely stable and use up less battery than needed. The CAME-Single can operate for up to 20 hours when it's fully charged.

Filmmaker, Tom Antos, recently used a Sony A7sii balanced on the CAME-Single gimbal to film this entire music video! The video follows singer, Anna Cyzon as she walks around the streets of New York. The CAME-Single is perfect for a project that requires a lot of tracking shots, especially if it takes place in crowded areas.

The CAME-Single is small enough to be carried around, but is also strong enough to handle a max payload of 2.6lbs. Tom Antos, also posted a quick making of the music video, which he uploaded the same time as the music video was released. It goes through the creative process and even shows why he decided to shoot the entire music video with the CAME-Single. Watch the making  below!

Sean J Vincent, recently shared with us a teaser from a web series he worked on that used the CAME-Mini 2 gimbal! He shot it with a Panasonic GH4 and a G Vario 14-42mm lens.

Here's a short synopsis taken from the "Paradox" video description:

Shot at the end of the summer in Norfolk, this web series follows the adventures of a time traveller and the girl who rescues him... Why is he here? Where did the time machine come from? When is he from?
All will be revealed soon...

The web series was shot using a Panasonic GH4 and a Sony FS100. If you want a closer look of Sean J. Vincent's CAME-Mini 2 setup, check out this review on the Mini 2 he posted a few months ago while he was shooting "Paradox".

CAME-MINI 2 Camera Gimbal For A7S GH4 BMPCC

, posted this quick test video a few days ago of him trying out the Samsung NX-1 camera paired with the CAME-7500 gimbal.

The CAME-7500 is the older version of what is now the CAME-7800 3-axis gimbal. The 7500 gimbal required users to build the gimbal and  required tools to balance the camera on the carriage. Now, most of the gimbals that we offer are tool-less, pre-built and some even have encoders built into the motor (CAME-Single & CAME-Action). The CAME-7800 is a good gimbal for setups that might be too heavy for the CAME-Mini 2 or the CAME-Single. We have a variety of gimbal models that can hold small action cameras(CAME-Action) or bigger setups like a Blackmagic Cinema Camera(CAME-8000).
